  I had been suffering from chronic back pain for many years (I blame mainly on hard work in the building industry).
  I tried two physiotherapist practices prior and had basically lost all belief in physiotherapy. That was until I went to Out of the Box. I was given gentle exercises to strengthen my core, and have been slowly increasing the level of difficulty. Just 4 visits is all it took. I now intend to return for periodic tune ups as necessary.
  I can't thank Chris enough for giving my quality of life back, without pain! The key is slow and steady. Long term injuries require long term repairs and daily exercise (that's my opinion anyway).
  For anyone looking for a genuine physiotherapist driven by results (not your money) for patients (without the bulls#@t) Out of the Box is my firm recommendation.

  Called up for a last minute strapping request that would have meant an after hours appointment, they were super friendly & efficient, which was greatly appreciated. The strapping assisted reducing the amount of pain my husband was experiencing & they were really patient in the approach to achieve the best possible outcome for his needs on the day.

  I have been absolutely thrilled with the service and expertise from Chris from Out Of The Box physio in Birkdale. He is an excellent physiotherapist. And I have been to enough physios to know. Let me explain.
  
  I am a Redlands local and I grew up here. Now I’m an adult with children who attend a local school. I was dealing with a lot of pain and I wanted to put up this review for those of you who may be looking for a physiotherapist and can’t decide who to choose. I’ve done all the hard work for you.
  
  I’ve seen my fair share of physios in the Redlands, visiting those practicing in Cleveland, Wellington Point, Victoria Point, Capalaba and Birkdale. Unfortunately, I have mostly been disappointed with their service and visits. They haven’t really helped me long term.
  
  One wouldn’t send me exercises to help me no matter how many times I asked. They said they would but they just kept forgetting to do so. Another would basically see me for 15 minutes and I was then out the door. Another just put an electric pad on my skin for 20 minutes and called it a day. Another just massaged and sent me away in more pain with more problems, no support until the next appointment and basically acted like she didn’t intend to treat me long term. I had been really frustrated and feeling hopeless, because I knew I should have a plan from a physiotherapist to fix my issue and I simply wasn’t getting it.
  
  I refused to give up and kept looking. I am sooo happy that I am finally getting better after seeing Chris from Out Of The Box Physio in Birkdale. He listened to my problem, was hands on with massage but always checked if I was okay. He listens to what you say about pain and even openly discusses what he thinks the trouble is. He checked scans and really listened to my history.
  
  Amazingly, his business has an app, and the app makes it so easy to do your exercises. There are videos and then written descriptions of the exercises themselves. This app makes it so easy and you can do your exercises anywhere and maintain proper form and technique. Before you leave he runs through the exercises so you actually understand how to perform them! He even prints a copy of your exercises before you leave.
  
  Compare this to one physio who always promised me exercises but never delivered my plan. He was just going to send me a list via email. And five weeks later I still never got it! Or another physio who just put an electric pad on me and then left me in a dark room on my own.
  
  Seriously, if you are looking for a highly-skilled, understanding, professional physiotherapist who will not only massage, tape you when needed, give you exercises and and an app to support those exercises and your health long term, who has a lovely spacious business and spends plenty of time with you for your appointment, I absolutely recommend visiting Out Of The Box Physio in Birkdale.
  
  I’m no longer in so much pain and I actually have hope for my future.

  At 63 years of age I found myself at the "mercy" of Rachel from Out of the Box Physiotherapy following surgery to repair two fractures to my ankle. Long story short, after only 4 weeks weight bearing and only 4 sessions with Rachel, I was back in heels and off to a show. This young woman is amazing and, provided you work with her and take her advice, she will not let you down. She has a very realistic and common sense approach to treatment and if you trust her she will help you achieve your goals. I can"t sing her praises loudly enough. Thanks so much Rachel. And the staff (Sandy) at the rooms in Capalaba are super helpful and accommodating too. Well done guys.
  I have no hesitation in recommending Rachel and this practice to anyone.
